OPERATING YOUR NEO SABER
For the legacy version of the Neo saber (before September 2019) which uses the Plecter Labs Nano Biscotte V4 soundboard, click here for the user guide.
The Neo saber is equipped with the Plecter Labs Crystal Focus X soundboard. Already installed in it is the exclusive Sabertrio preconfiguration which has a total of 16 fully setup sound fonts. This saber is ready to be used straight out from the box, though it may be low on battery.
The diagram below illustrates how to operate your Neo saber and shows all operational modes. The saber can only be in one mode at any given time and depending on which mode it is currently in, different functions and features will be accessible. It starts off in Deep Sleep.
THE NEO SABER’S CHASSIS
The internals of all Sabertrio Neo sabers contains multiple components that are all neatly housed together in a chassis made from Delrin; a very durable thermoplastic. In the sections below, we will be referring to several of these components and therefore it is important to familiarize yourself with all of it.
In order to keep your Neo saber functional, the internals of the saber will need to be accessed to perform several essential tasks such as recharging the saber or swapping the batteries. As there are delicate electronic components inside the saber, please read this section first before attempting any of the tasks below.
CUSTOMIZING THE SETTINGS
The settings of the Neo saber can be customized by modifying the files in the saber’s micro SD card. This allows you to personalize the way the saber sounds & behaves. The following section is intended only for advance users.
Already installed on your Neo saber is the Sabertrio preconfiguration which has defined 15 color profiles based on the values listed below. It has been optimized to work with Sabertrio Neo blades.
*Only for Flash on Clash
In order to perform the following, you will need a computer and a micro SD card reader. An active internet connection is required to download additional sound fonts.
Remember to always safely eject your micro SD card from your computer. Forcibly removing it may cause data corruption and prevent your saber from working properly.
This user guide covers the main essential features that are available to a Sabertrio Neo Saber V2 and has been simplified to ease understanding. If you want to dive into the nitty-gritty details of the sound board, we recommend reading the official Crystal Focus X manual that is written by Plecter Labs. It can be found in the Extra > Manual folder in your saber’s micro SD card or downloaded from here.
