Star Wars-inspired custom neopixel lightsaber features Legend of Zelda with crimson coat, acid-etched Hylian Shield, Master Sword, and Ocarina motifs

With the MASTERPIECE commissions reopening this weekend (February 10th), we are proud to bring you yet another superb example of what can come from a collaborative design journey with us. Our spotlight today is a Vahlken that was crafted as an ode to a certain master of puzzles and his ever-changing realm of valor and mystery.

The process began with a trove of iconic elements that the owner wanted engraved onto the saber, entrusting our team with his vision's realization. Starting at the hilt's apex, we placed an arrangement of geometric elements that is reminiscent of that protector’s recent prosthetic. Further down, the switch band is adorned with symbols of heroism and adventure: a stalwart shield, a majestic lion, a mysterious key and life-giving hearts, all a homage to the art of that classic inaugural quest. Below, a sacred relic shines as a beacon of power, wisdom, and courage, framed by the wings of a noble crimson bird.

We then emblazoned the main grip section of the Vahlken with a certain iconic unyielding shield. Flanking it is the sacred sword, and melodies of the ocarinas echoing from the sides. Just beneath the Covertec wheel are circuitry-like motifs that were derived from the ancient schematics of the Master Sword. The pommel completes its visual tale with a collection of emblems—symbols of the denizens of that domain—interspersed with a final carousel of ocarinas.

This hilt was ultimately powder coated in a vibrant crimson, serving as a visual anthem to the hero's saga—blood-red for the battles fought and the sacrifices made for the greater good. With a matching activation switch and a stark black Covertec wheel, this Vahlken is a testament to the meticulous artistry of saber crafting. All of the hours poured into transforming the owner’s dream from console to metal has culminated in a hilt that we are proud to call a MASTERPIECE.
