Star Wars-inspired custom neopixel lightsabers features Godzilla and Kong with dark coat, pink-yellow accent and acid-etched reptilian scales

From shadowy ocean depths to perilous island cliffs, two colossal kaijū ascend, their monumental silhouettes eclipsing the horizon. These monsters have captivated audiences for generations, starring in epic narratives that spans cinematic history itself. Inspired by their legacy and the upcoming feature, we set out to forge TWO tributes of our own: one for the radioactive titan, and another for the supreme simian.

The Vahlken was the hilt of choice for its profile perfectly exudes the aggressiveness of these legendary creatures. We began the design process at the emitter where for the first saber, we placed threatening claw marks looming over a cityscape, while for the other we drew rocky outlines of an ancient cavern. From there the switch band of the first was wrapped in a motif of reptilian scales, while the second had its activation switch flanked by the axe that was used to dismember a certain mechanized foe. These elements were finished by framing the auxiliary switch with an ominous handprint.

But without a doubt, the most striking feature is on the main grip, where we have captured the figures of these monumental monsters in a moment of imminent action. These designs were ultimately completed on the six spokes of the pommel, where for the first saber was adorned with the pattern of impenetrable scales, while the other had roaring maws. To bring out the beast, we carefully powder coated the majority of each hilt in a hue that mimicked each titan’s coloration before accenting one in a powerful pink to reflect Godzilla’s evolved state, and the other with the vibrant yellow of Kong’s new gauntlet.

These sabers are designed to stand out like two mountainous monsters, each a monument to those city-shattering behemoths. And to truly capture the devastating force of that radioactive reptile and the unbridled might of that supreme simian, we have crowned these hilts “Atomic Wrath” and “Primal Fury”. They will both be available separately in the Sabertrio March RTS drop that is happening in conjunction with the launch of the S3 x SO collaboration on March 23rd at 9am EDT.
