Black Heart of Harkonnen

Beneath the shadow of a black sun, Giedi Prime festers, a world gutted by its masters' insatiable hunger. It is there that the Baron reigned supreme - a symbol of hedonism whose ambition stretched far beyond his dark dominion, onto the the desert jewel of Arrakis as if it was his birthright.

This monster of a man mercilessly tore through any who even dared snatch a coin from his hoard, and his zeal to increase that mountainous wealth knew no end. Like his forefathers, this dictator lived under the constant fear of assassination, his eyes always searching for assailants, even within his own family. No doubt he would need an effective weapon for personal defense, and today we are imagining how it would be if it was a ghastly lightsaber.

We envisioned this baneful blade to be a Reaver, its silhouette bearing the macabre elegance of Harkonnen architecture. For its intricate design, the upper choke was encased in columns mimicking the barren bones of the colosseum walls. As for the switch band, it was wrapped in a brutalist spine where the activation switch was framed within the stark geometry of an eye socket. From there, flesh meets metal and the grip reveals their deceptive duality - one side adorned with a diplomatic royal pattern, and the other with an industrial maw around a poised blade.

All of the markings were immortalized when this hilt emerged from the acid bath. For its coloration, the dominating black was accented with a gleaming silver, channeling the haunting monochrome of their homeworld. To complete this bleak weapon, a black activation switch was placed in its socket, and that was paired with a matching Covertec wheel.

Forged to strike awe and terror, this saber encapsulates the raw power and sophisticated cruelty of its sadistic master. Endowed with a name very few dare utter, this heirloom of the dark dynasty is known as the “Black Heart of Harkonnen”. It will be available in the April RTS drop that is happening this Saturday (April 13th) at 9am EDT.
