Champion of the First Order

It is no secret that the Krosgaard was very much inspired by Kylo Ren's lightsaber. From the emitter that sits almost flushed with the quillons, to the prominently designed pommel, virtually every detail is present on our iteration while at the same time being supremely comfortable and practical to wield.

Nevertheless, there will always be aspects that can be improved and in this case we felt that with added accuracy details, the Krossgard could further embody the Champion of the First Order.

The most noticeable improvement are at the quillons. In particular, we have completely striped off the black anodize of the quillon blade adaptors while painstakingly sanding the quillons itself with different grits progressively. This has allowed for a beautiful and natural looking transition from exposed aluminum to a matte black anodized surface. While it is unfortunate that we could not apply a heat staining effect that was durable enough, we believe that this outlook is already a step up. This idea actually originated from a customer's custom request for his Krosgaard, and we are indeed very grateful for the opportunity to explore and develop this new feature with him.

The other detail that we've added to this Krosgaard to make it further resemble Kylo Ren's, is at the pommel. With our new found capabilities of powder coating, we've meticulously masked and powder coated the circular base of the pommel in red. To complete the final appearance, we applied a clear coat that gave the red surface a matte finish that matched the rest of the hilt.

This Krosgaard is part of the Sabertrio Black Friday RTS Event happening this November 25th. There will be 20 iterations of this in the Neo Proffie configuration.

This RTS event will feature over 500 uniquely customized sabers. Details of other special pieces will be showcased here within the next couple of days.
