Chevron Seven, Locked

Having worked on hundreds of custom acid etch projects, it is apparent that one of the most requested themes by clients are crossovers. Today's showcase is definitely one such project, but what truly made this stand out was the extreme attention to details from both client & Sabertrio, and how everything eventually came together perfectly.
Most crossover themed sabers could be easily identified but for this particular Vahlken, the client decided on a more elegant approach. There are no words or instantly recognizable logos on this saber but for those with a discerning eye and an in-depth sci-fi knowledge, they would know that this is a tribute to Stargate SG-1.
The immaculately intricate designs of this saber was created by the client and our role was to bring this concept to reality. Over the months that we took to complete this, it was a constant exchange between both sides as we seek to harmonize the design to what was physically possible while pushing the boundaries of what we could etch.
Throughout the entire hilt are ornate design elements that originated from the titular Stargate Ring. Further enhancing this are Goa'uld inspired motifs found around the switch area that depicts the silhouette of a Ha'Tak Ship and the Stargate Command Iris. The true highlight for this saber however, is the main grip section which is a rendition of the Stargate dials. Featured here are forty completely unique chevrons and constellation symbols that are framed in equally intricately designed borders of alternating alignments.
This saber is truly one of our most difficult endeavors ever. Because of the many facets that is the Vahlken's design, we literally had to calculate the size and exact position of every single element to ensure it all aligns perfectly as envisioned. This has ultimately pushed our acid etching capabilities to the absolute limit but as we now take a step back and see the final result, we can safely say it was worth it especially knowing that the client was extremely satisfied. This Vahlken is a masterpiece and definitely worth the attention of the Ori!
Custom acid etched sabers will be making a return this Black Friday.
