Close-up of a Cal Kestis-inspired custom neopixel lightsaber features acid etching scaled dragon head and cherry blossom motifs with a pink blade

The Sabertrio Custom Acid Etch sabers are finally making a return THIS Friday with limited run of only 50 pieces. The allocation of hilts for this will be announced soon but in the meantime, let's check out yet another master piece that we have recently completed.

For this Senza, the client wanted it to reflect elements of the Japanese culture and in particular, dragons with cherry blossoms. To achieve this in an impactful way, we decided to feature the serpent-like Japanese dragon spanning across the entire length of the saber. It begins with the tail just right above the pommel, that than continues through the switch section where the slender scaled body is seen intertwining with the aux switch & OLED cover. It all culminates with the head of the dragon prominently etched on just one shroud of the Senza.

This is not a symmetrical design. Counter balancing to the dragon are intricate Sakura branches that also runs throughout the entire length of the saber albeit, on the other side of it. On each prong of the Senza's shrouds are names that are etched in Aurebesh. The significance of this is only known to the client however the usage of such typeface is also found at the middle band just above the main grip section that says "May the Force be with you".

Working on projects such as this is so rewarding, and we simply cannot wait to see what new amazing etching designs can be achieved with you this March 25th!
