Guardian of the Old Republic

The Vahlken is definitely the most popular choice when it comes to custom acid etching and for today's showcase, we take a look at just how intricate the designs can get. There is no hiding the fact that this masterpiece was very much inspired by The Evangelist which we did a year ago. However, the owner also clearly wanted this saber to reflect his allegiance to the Jedi Order of the Old Republic.

The etchings you see here is the result from a close collaboration between us and the owner. It started out with a modified version of The Evangelist's switch area motif that was hand drawn by the owner himself. From there, we traced it to this final form and took inspiration from it to create a bolder version at the emitter section. We explicitly included diamond shapes here in reference to Ahsoka Tano.

Right below the switch is the logo of the Old Republic and directly on the opposite side, is the logo of the Jedi Order. We felt this location to be the best as it was at the center of the saber and akin to being 'close to the heart'. We finished off the design at the bottom with motifs that are inspired from the Jedi Temple Guard's face mask, followed by the words "May the Force be with you" in Aurebesh.

If The Evangelist had a sibling, this definitely would be it and both are without a doubt, masterpieces.
