Lightning of Wukong

In the mythological expanse of the mortal realm, Mount Huaguo stands as the idyllic home of monkeys. Resting on its peak is the stone husk of that smack-talking trickster, who has been watched faithfully for generations by his loyal kin. But despite the apparent permanence of the once-Monkey King’s demise, there are whispers of his complete restoration – only if you, the Destined One, can wield your magical staff skillfully enough to defy gods and yaoguai alike.

This enchanted weapon will be your greatest ally in surviving the many dangers that await you. It is crafted from two Senza hilts, each one mirroring the other to create a saberstaff. The hilts are joined in the middle by a coupler, which has been forged to hold fast even against the fiercest adversaries.

Its design began on both ends, where the top and bottom of all four armored shrouds were given patterns taken from the armor plating of two yaoguai forms. Those motifs serve as the frame for a circle of six plus one rings, which symbolize both the ultimate prizes of your journey and the memories you can recover. Just below that on the switch sections, are continuous motifs of celestial clouds much like the mischievous monkey’s favorite form of travelling.

The aesthetics of these hilts were ultimately completed above and below the main grips where they were crowned by that enslaving circlet, and held up by characters that speak the ancient name of this staff. After a bath of acid had immortalized all the details onto the metal, the prominent sections of these hilts were cloaked in a powder coating of stoney gray that was then accented with highlights of shimmering brass.

If you choose to embark on this quest, you will face opposition from overwhelming supernatural forces greedily hoarding the treasures that you seek.
