Malefic Cataclysm

Located on the outer rim is a planet of true darkness, shrouded in mystery and foreboding tales so much that Dathomir pales in comparison. This is Malachor, an ancient planet of great importance to the Sith.

Hidden away beneath the surface somewhere on this barren world lay an enormous temple that was most recognizable by its grandiose pyramidal structure and obelisk pinnacle which radiated with an eerily red glow. Housed within it was a massive Kyber crystal that powered a superweapon capable of destroying life on an unimaginable scale.

It was on these very grounds that a great battle between the Jedi and Sith took place which ultimately ended with the temple activating and petrifying everyone on the planet. This event would go down in legends as the Great Scourge of Malachor, and we wanted to craft a lightsaber that would truly embody the malevolence of this superweapon.

Intricately etched throughout the entire length of the Senza is a prismatic-like design that draws close inspiration from the numerous angular motifs that once adorned the imposing temple. The sharp lines eventually converge at the emitter before seamlessly flowing into each prong of the shroud that had Malachorian runes engraved on it. We then powder coated the entire hilt in a semi metallic grey finish that replicated the tint of the pyramid’s surface while the shrouds and covertec wheel of the saber stood out in contrast through its lighter shade of smoke grey. Lastly, the topmost etchings were accentuated in a deep red that when combined with the crimson glow of the unique OLED screen, blade plug and activation switch, mimicked the menacing radiance of the Sith superweapon as it powered up.
