Nova-One

Once upon a time, sleek star fighters would streak across the cerulean skies of Naboo, their yellow and silver chrome glinting in the sun as they patrol the heavens with grace. Their iconic silhouette is a blazing symbol of elegance and deadly precision.

Amidst an invasion it became a vessel of hope, one even piloted by an unlikely young hero who would eventually rise to infamy. And then decades later, when that ship was thought to have faded into legend, its spirit was rekindled and it soared anew in the hands of a lone bounty hunter. While the recognizable hue was stripped to a bare minimum and its hull now a patchwork of plating, it still remains a force to be reckoned with.

Inspired by this, we set out to create a saber that would embody the spirit of this particular space craft. The Vektra was selected and its afterburner-styled ends made it the perfect choice. We began the crafting journey of this lightsaber by refinishing the entire hilt in a metallic durasteel finish that mimicked the star fighter. From there, we accented just a few areas by powder coating it in a mild golden hue that was akin to the colored strips of our inspiration.

To represent the patchwork plating of the fabled ship, we created motifs that mimicked it and applied it all across the hilt through acid etching. From there, we supplemented it with details that were found all over the star fighter, before wrapping the main grip section with an ivory colored genuine Nappa leather strap. The saber was finally completed with a design element on the emitter's top frame that represented the iconic visor of the star fighter's current owner.

To us, this saber is more than a weapon; it is a bridge between eras, a celebration of the timeless dance between the old guard and the new frontier. In its reflection, we find a continuum that stretches from the guardians of Naboo to the solitary figures who now traverse the galaxy’s expanse. In that spirit of rebirth and legacy, this saber shall forever be known as “Nova-One”.

This legendary saber will be built with the new Power Core chassis system in very limited quantities, and will be available for purchase on January 20th at 9am EST.
