Order of the Pack
Today's custom acid etch showcase features a Vektra for a dear friend of ours. Perhaps the most unique aspect of this particular project was that we were given total freehand to design whatever we wanted.
While that may initially sound easier, it is actually quite the contrary. A custom saber is a VERY personal possession, and we strongly felt that this Vektra had to reflect the personality of its owner. We decided to start by looking at what he does best.
He is an executive chef, the one who controls the entire kitchen, ensures the food quality and trains the staff. The kitchen is his domain and he is the leader of the pack. And for that, we felt that an alpha wolf was the best representation of him especially since wolves do exist in the Star Wars universe.
The next challenge is to ensure that our etchings designs aligns with the franchise. To achieve that, we took inspiration from the shapes found in star charts of the game Jedi Fallen Order. Through usage of lines and circles, we were able to create a coherent design throughout the entire saber including the bespoke logo of the alpha wolf, and the mountain range that no doubt, was its domain.
The end result is this unnamed master piece. The cherry at the top of the cake would be the Neo Blade that has been set to a brilliant ice blue color, to bring out all the details of this Vektra.
On November 27th, our main store will reopen with 80 slots for custom acid etching. While the lead time for an acid etch saber may be considerably longer, the end result at times may be a saber that is truly unique and potentially heirloom worthy.
