Advanced fully modular Power Core chassis for custom neopixel lightsabers featuring a swappable Audio Chip and Diatium Power Cell branding

At long last, Korvus has been revealed and with it are many questions. We are in the midst of preparing a post that would address almost all of these but for today, we're going to be talking about the other highlight for this Black Friday; the Power Core.

Indeed the main feature for this new chassis system is its ability to swap between any Sabertrio hilt that has a Central Control Module (CCM) installed within. This means that with just a single power core, you could purchase any other Sabertrio hilt (with CCM in it) at a much lower price point, and enjoy it fully functioning.

But the modularity of the Power Core does NOT end there. Blown speakers have been our bane since the very beginning especially because our warranty covers it if there were no misuse. For cases like this, we would have to retrieve the saber just to replace the speaker and send it back to you, all at our cost. This was the main reason we had to swap to the 22mm, as the Veco 28's were simply too fragile.

With the Power Core, things are about to change as it features a hot-swappable speaker system. The new and significantly more durable 28mm 3W 4ohm (not a Veco) bass speaker now resides within a Delrin enclosure that we call an Audio Chip. Directly behind the speaker is a custom designed quick connector PCB which allows anybody to easily swap out the Audio Chip for a new one. In other words if you have a blown speaker, all we need to do is send you a new Audio Chip and you can perform the swap by yourself, which would save a tremendous amount of time (and cost).

This modularity also enable us to design special audio accessories such as the Aux Chip which essentially replaces the speaker with an audio jack. This would allow anyone to connect their saber to an audio system, which is particularly useful for soundfont makers. The Aux Chip should be available by year end.

All in all we know that audio quality for a saber is essential, and that is why the Power Core has been designed to deliver superior audio performance. You can expect it to perform better than the Legacy Chassis System. As we are reaching the word limit, details on other Power Core features will be shared in separate posts.
