Rahm Kota-inspired custom neopixel lightsaber featuring Australian Aboriginal artwork motifs, including dot painting and kangaroo tracks

MASTERPIECE by Sabertrio is all about embracing your individuality and eternalizing it on a bespoke Sabertrio custom saber hilt. Here, you are the one who decides on the designs and because you are unique, so too will be your Masterpiece.

Today's showcase features a concept that we have never done before. The owner of this Mirah, who is from the land down under, wanted a saber that would embody the elements of Australian aboriginal artwork. Through several provided images and design discussions, we managed to grasp the details and were then ready to begin.

At the emitter of the saber, we started out by etching a cluster of small round circles to emulate dot painting that was really common in aboriginal design. From there, we placed kangaroo tracks all around the Mirah's choke point followed by an intricate wavy & circular motif that spanned the entire switch section. It is said that this motif represents running water between waterholes or campsites.

Moving lower, dingo pawprints were etched all around the Covertec wheel band while being complimented by additional dot painting designs right below of it. As a finishing touch, the owner's aboriginal name was etched onto the pommel's side and an ornate blue tassel was added for a dash of color. The entire hilt was submerged in acid to create a natural textured surface all around that almost mimics cave walls.

We certainly have learnt quite a few new things from this project, and definitely enjoyed working on it. We hope that this aboriginal Mirah would be cherished by its owner for many, many more years to come.
