Tale of the Onyx Tragedy

Did you ever hear about the tragedy of the knight who stained his lightsaber black with blood?
I thought not. It is certainly something the Order would not want any Padawan to hear.
This knight was just like every other, except that his thirst for knowledge of history was unmatched. His passion was so profound that it drove him to even secretly seek out texts from the archives that some might call…forbidden. And so, when the time came to forging his own lightsaber, the weapon became a physical manifestation of what his possessed mind was dwelling upon.
Cryptic patterns found in ancient databanks dominated the design of his Vektra, and some have said that these etchings are what started his spiral into darkness. For instance, he marked the emitter plates and Covertec band with a forest of overlapping paths, almost like a face obscured within layers of veins. And on the choke, he arranged knife-like elements, all pointing towards a central ellipse that resembled a watchful eye.
Little did he know that the corruption was already setting in, gradually mutating him into a disheveled recluse. By the time his condition became so bad, the only option he had in his now twisted mind was to flee the Order and find the place that had whispered to him all this while – Yavin 4.
What eventually happened to this knight is unknown, but when the Order caught his trail and followed… all they could find was his lightsaber – its silver sparkle now veiled under the inky black of Massassi blood. The obsidian fluid had permeated the majority of the metal, imbuing even the activation switch and Covertec wheel with its shadowy touch.
It’s ironic. He could study the darkness, but not escape its grasp. All that remains now is this weapon which tells the foreboding tale of the “Onyx Tragedy”. This saber will be available in the Sabertrio July RTS Drop that is happening this coming Saturday, July 27th at 9am EDT.
