The Ashen Obelisk

There is a legend that once spoke of two warriors of light, forged in brotherhood but torn asunder at the cruel hand of fate – divided by bitter hatred.

The second brother, relentless in his pursuit of justice, believed that true strength lay in taking decisive action, no matter the cost. His dreaded saber was a Daemos, and its eventual searing crimson blade became a harbinger of judgment as he sought to eradicate any threat to peace, even if it meant silencing the innocent to prevent the rise of future evil.

The edgy silhouette of the elegant weapon was utterly inscribed in a meticulous network of geometrical elements that mysteriously resembled ancient, forgotten runes. Encircling the saber’s Covertec band lay a vacant circle—its stark emptiness symbolic to only dealing in absolutes. Just as his resolve remained unwavering, so too were the ornate patterns that were permanently etched onto the saber’s metal.

The decades of culling the innocent have twisted this Daemos beyond recognition of what it once was. As it continues carving a brutal path, the ashes of destruction have deeply marred the saber’s gleaming surfaces. Its main grip section, now bearing obvious signs of heavy use as raw metal frames the edges of every detail.

It was told that this warrior’s final act of defiance was an attempt to end the life of his once-beloved brother. They were, however, two sides of the same coin—bound by fate, their confrontation leading inevitably to mutual destruction. What has become of them is unknown, but the haunting memories of the second brother’s lightsaber endures.

It is grim reminder of the devastating consequences of actions taken in absolution. It represents an unstoppable force, merciless as stone, in reshaping the galaxy as it sees fit. And for that, this lightsaber has since become known as the “Ashen Obelisk”.
