The Echoes of Koboh

The modest world of Koboh is hardly ever given a second glance. But its unassuming surface can be misleading, for if you know where to look, you may just stumble upon the crumbling majesty of a meditation chamber. These sanctuaries contain innumerable untold stories, most eroded by time, with only a scant few lingering through echoes in the Force.

Tapping into one of these would reveal a tall tale of a knight, his lightsaber, and an obsession that ended in utter ruin. It was told that he was so passionate about mastering every form of lightsaber combat, that he would often retreat to the hills to trade sleep for practice. His saber was an Aeryn, and if you looked out early in the morning, you could almost see its brass thin-neck glinting in the dawn light.

On one fateful day, revelation struck. It was born from the frustration that his own body was the true limiting factor, holding him back what he longed for. The path forward was then clear – he needed to master wielding his lightsaber with the Force alone.

Requiring deeper focus, the knight retreated into the meditation chamber where he isolated himself there for so long that even his weapon began to imbue itself with the elements of the place. The emitter and lower grip took on the lotus-like lines from the chamber’s pillars, along with the grand emblem of the old order. The other portions were then detailed in weaves of alternating curves – a representation of the knight’s compulsive perfectionism.

His obsession eventually became his demise for what he sought, perpetually eluded him. The clattering sound of metal on stone echoed through the chambers far too often, as though a mocking laughter of his failure and a taunt that that ironically blinded him to the Force itself.

Despite the only thing remaining in this place was the lightsaber itself decades later, it is said that the sounds of his failure could still be heard within the blackened masonry. It is through this, that this Aeryn was ultimately called the ‘Echoes of Koboh’. It will be available in the Sabertrio July RTS Drop that is happening this coming Saturday, July 27th at 9am EDT.
