The Evermourne
This is the Evermourne - a Masterpiece Vahlken and the personal lightsaber of Bridget who is part of Sabertrio's official cosplay group. Her outfit was meticulously designed from the ground up by us, and we wanted to straddle the line between that galaxy far, far away and something wholly original. Taking inspiration from the legendary Jedi Master Celeste Mourne, this outfit stands apart from the rest with its intricately stitched vest, exposed midriff, distinct drapes and overall subdued color palette. In essence, it was designed to be light and not impede mobility, especially during combat.
Her lightsaber was derived from the same source of inspiration, and as such we incorporated a blend of star charts and arcane symbols that speak of a bygone era. Starting at the emitter, we wove a rising cluster of symmetrical lines, their arcs delineating ancient paths through the stars. Right below that, the switch band was wrapped in cryptic symbols, with similar markings found at the pommel area as well.
Finally, we crowned the top grip ring with interlocking glyphs to complete the design, which was then immortalized onto the hilt through acid etching. To lend it the appearance of a forgotten relic, we then submerged the hilt into a chemical solution to subtly darken the silver surface. As a finishing touch, we powder coated the main grip section in a textured bronze hue, and complimented that with a gold activation switch and a brass Covertec wheel.
Being a hilt out of time, the meaning of the strange pictographs may have faded but the presence they imbue are still very much felt. This is the lightsaber of the enigmatic Jedi Consular Bridget, the Evermourne, a name promising that it will herald the dawn wherever it goes.
Much like the Shard of Light, limited pieces derived from this saber will be available for purchase at the Sabertrio May the 4th RTS Event, starting at 9am EDT.
