The JingleJab

’Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the base
Not a trooper was stirring, not even a trace.

The turrets were placed on the wall with great care,
In hopes that all Jedi would think twice and beware.

The Sith Lord lay nestled, all snug in his bed,
While Star Wars Visions reran in his head.

When out on the launch pad arose such a clatter,
Droids sprang from their docks to see what was the matter.

Then what through security cams should appear,
But a red-robed old Jedi wielding yuletide cheer.

Through closing blast doors he burst in a flash,
With a lightsaber that swung in a festive attack.

In strode the Sith, cloak drawn with a sneer,
“You’ve sung your last carol, I’ll end you right here.”

So they stood facing – one jolly, one sour,
The Jedi spoke next with definitive power;

“Your hearts stuffed with coal, and not enough cheer,
You’ve been naughty all cycle – so no mercy this year.”

The dark lord lashed out, red blade filled with hate,
But that blinding rage is what sealed the Sith’s fate.

The Jedi struck swiftly, ending things with a stab,
Which is why his merry saber is called the JingleJab.

The fortress fell silent, each corridor clear,
As all settled down into good Christmas cheer.

The jolly Jedi spoke gladly, his task was now through,
“Merry Christmas to all — may the Force be with you!”
