The Oriconian Ravager

During the era of the Reconstituted Sith Empire, several mysterious artifacts known as the Phobis devices were discovered. At the behest of the emperor himself, one of these vessels of extreme power were relocated to a remote moon in the Outer Rim Territories known as Oricon where many Sith scholars attempted to unravel the secrets that lay within it. The tremendous dark energy inside these artifacts drove all of them into sheer madness, however six Sith Lords remarkably managed to overcome it. They harnessed the terrifying powers of the Phobis devices and through that became known as the Dread Masters.

In today’s showcase, we wanted to craft a lightsaber that was worthy of being wielded by these malevolent Sith Lords, and the Skylar was chosen for this. It had to bring forth the same sense of terror as one would feel when encountering a Dread Master. To achieve this, we took design inspiration from their iconic helmets and Holocrons that they usually brought along. Through combining the symmetrical lines and geometrical shapes of both elements, we created a unique motif that was then meticulously acid etched to the emitter, switch section and upper pommel of the Skylar.

We envisioned this lightsaber to be a Sith relic and to make it look the part, we subjected the hilt to a chemical process that tarnished any exposed aluminum. This has irregularly stained the once pristine surfaces of the saber while darkening and accentuating all the textured acid etched areas. Finally, we powder coated both choke points of the Skylar in matte crimson to mimic the tattered robes that the Dread Masters always wore. At the center of the switch section where the bespoke motif revolves around is the symbol of the Sith, clearly indicating the dread that this weapon would inflict. And for that, this lightsaber has been henceforth known as the “Oriconian Ravager”.

This legendary saber will be built in BOTH Neo CFX & Neo Proffie configuration in very limited quantities. It will be available for purchase this May the 4th at 9am EDT.
