The Rising Dawn

In the golden age of the Republic, the Jedi Order’s victories had given them hope for an even brighter future. Their grand vision saw citizens from all corners of the galaxy brought together in unity, working for the collective good of all life. And there is no better illustration of their aspirational ideology than that opulent space station, destined to be the crown jewel of the High Republic and everything they stood for.

It was written that many ceremonies were held in the gilded halls of the station, with the most exquisite ones being celebrations that welcomed new settlements into the Republic. At the apex of the proceedings, a representative and ambassador would have raised a silver lightsaber and ignited it – a symbolic representation of their joint commitment to be bearers of light.

This elegant Korvus is said to be one such saber. Its design began at the variable-length emitter and switch sleeve, where a latticework of intersecting lines weaved around the activation switch and exposed crystal chamber. Each path traces its own journey, but together created a symmetrical chorus that culminates at the saber’s brilliant blade.

Moving past the grip, the pommel was girded in a ring of rising columns that points light ward, representing the resilience forged when communities come together. To lend a graceful contrast, the pommel’s upper band was accented in a brass hue through powder coating, while the saber itself was completed with a gold activation switch, screws, and a brass Covertec wheel.

Despite its lofty purpose, history has long eroded its meaning for many see it as an emblem of a lopsided alliance forced on settlements who were unable to defend themselves against the arms race that the Jedi’s uninvited presence created. To the civilians caught in the crossfire, those pretty lines seem more like an ensnaring net, their tangled paths leading up into blazing fire. Like a star ascending over the horizon with radiance that brings both life and scorching heat, this hilt was rumored to be called the “Rising Dawn”. It will be available in the June RTS drop that is happening this coming Saturday, June 22nd at 9am EDT.
