The Sapphiric Scarab

At a glance, we are pretty sure that most of you will know the source of inspiration for the designs of this rather striking piece. Indeed, the Daemos was the obvious choice for of its iconic emitter claws which truly serves as a derivation of the insectoid hero’s very own.

The design process began with us featuring our rendition of his mask on the top of the emitter sleeve while balancing that out on the opposite side with a pattern taken from the hero's chest plate. Continuing from there, we surrounded the auxiliary switch with a six-legged emblem and decorated the Covertec wheel band with an outlined motif of claws and carapace plating.

All these was then carefully acid-etched onto the brushed metal, with the rest of those surfaces getting powder-coated in a recognizable blue. The grenade grip and remaining non-etchable areas were left in deep black to both contrast the primary color as well as mirror the hues of the bug-inspired protagonist. This saber was completed with an blue illuminated activation switch.
