Darth Vader-inspired custom neopixel lightsaber features Celtic, Asian, and Nordic cultures with dark finish, copper accents and acid-etched triquetra

The next round of commissions for MASTERPIECE by Sabertrio is happening this weekend and to get things rolling, we wanted to feature a few amazing pieces that have been worked on recently! For today, we're taking a look at a truly bespoke Skylar that has been meticulously engraved with a fusion of ancient design elements from across the globe and a galaxy far, far away.

The owner of this saber envisioned it to be an elegant weapon of a Jedi that incorporated a unique blend of Celtic and Asian cultural motifs. With a preliminary draft provided by himself, it was ultimately up to our design team to transform this into a work of art.

We started at the emitter by etching the three-pronged triquetra symbol right in the center, followed by surrounding it with an ancient star map. From there, the switch ring was encircled with a flowing Dara knot before being sandwiched with a crown of trigrams at top and a belt of Elder Futhark runes below. Moving down, the Celtic weave was mirrored on the Covertec band for balance while the lowest segment just above the pommel was wrapped with a sailor’s knot that flanked the emblem of the Jedi Order.

The entire hilt was then powder coated in a dark graphite hue that truly contrasted with the numerous rich copper colored bands and emitter of the Skylar. This effect was further amplified with a golden activation switch and Covertec wheel. This beautiful color combination almost mimics a darkened metallic scepter that has been girded in bands of ancient brass. There is no doubt that this lightsaber is a true MASTERPIECE, and we know that the closure of its design journey is merely the beginning of its long storied history with its true owner.

MASTERPIECE by Sabertrio is returning this February 10th @ 9am EST with very limited commission slots. Soon you will have the opportunity to commission a truly unique piece for yourself and take your place in a galaxy far, far away. In the meantime, we will continue to showcase some truly remarkable custom sabers in the coming days. Stay tuned!
