The Skylar Caldera Dark Edition

Some weapons carry a warning even before they are ignited.

That was the goal as we meticulously crafted this Skylar to embody an unforgiving, battle-scarred aesthetic that feels forged through countless duels. Creating wear that appears authentic and natural is a deliberate process, and this is how we achieved it.

We began by stripping away the anodization from several parts of the hilt, most notably the emitter rings, choke points, main grip section, and the band just above the pommel. From there, we sanded the remaining black surfaces, taking an especially aggressive approach at the emitter to mimic the repeated exposure to intense heat to the point of discoloration. For a more menacing contrast, we powder coated the grip area in a deep crimson hue, then heavily weathered the entire hilt by hand to create a convincing sense of battle damage. Finally, we sealed everything beneath a matte clear coat, giving the saber a consistent satin-worn appearance across every surface.
