The Spirit of Tanalorr

Deep within the Koboh Abyss lies a paradisical world that was hidden for many millennia. It was only during the High Republic era when a certain intrepid knight made a daring uncharted flight through the deadly nebula, that the existence of this planet was finally discovered. Eventually, safe flight paths were established and this newfound world would come to be known as Tanalorr.

Its miraculous discovery yielded so much potential for not only was it strategically located at the Galactic Frontier, but it also had a strong presence in the Force. Tanalorr was poised to be the Order’s bastion in the Outer Rim and so the construction of its magnificent temple began shortly after with the hope that one day, it would be the place where many initiates would train.

It is almost certain that within the marvelous architecture of this Jedi temple would be a resplendent forge dedicated solely to crafting lightsabers. Thus, in today’s showcase we wanted explore how a Senza would look like had it been forged during the heydays of this place. We imagined that whoever designed this temple would have played a prominent role in the creation of this elegant weapon. This is why the reversed acid etchings on this hilt mimics the many geometrical motifs of the place with the most notable element being the circle-in-diamond pattern found on the Senza’s shroud. That relief was directly lifted from the floor of the temple’s main courtyard and serves as the central theme for the saber’s etching design.

We then accented this hilt by powder coating its middle band in satin aurodium, while accessorizing it with a gold main switch, a brass Covertec wheel and several golden screws. Finally, we weathered the black anodized sections to give this Senza a more textured appearance that when combined with everything else, formed a highly detailed work of art.

We believe that this lightsaber represents hope for a better future and is a testament that there is light even in the darkest abyss. For that, it has been named the ‘Spirit of Tanalorr’. It will be built in BOTH Neo CFX and Neo Proffie configuration in very limited quantities, and will be available for purchase on August 26th at 9am EDT.
