The Lore of Serenayos

It’s quite clear where the inspiration for the Sabertrio Daemos comes from. Its signature bronze hue and grenade-style grip mark it as a lightsaber unmistakably aligned with the dark side of the Force. This time, however, we’re challenging ourselves to completely reimagine the Daemos and prove that, with the right enhancements, it can stand proud as a truly elegant weapon of a Jedi.

With its highly detailed body and ornate emitter claws, we knew instantly that this would be the perfect foundation for a lightsaber harking back to the High Republic era. Taking cues from a certain crossguard lightsaber of the same period, we began by stripping the bronze-anodized surfaces from the Daemos’ emitter sleeves. This exposed the raw aluminum beneath, onto which we acid-etched the wings of the High Republic crest in a similar array.

Recognizing that this lightsaber would be an interplay of different colors and finishes, we then repeated the same stripping process on the ornate claws and switch section, allowing these parts to be polished to a brilliant mirror finish. In contrast, the two bands flanking the grenade grip were brushed, giving them a hairline texture that matches the single silver band on the saber’s specially modified pommel.

Finally, we powder-coated the emitter sleeve and chokepoint in a warm brown hue reminiscent of the Jedi’s signature robes. As for the claw assembly, it was top-coated in bronze, allowing its gleaming surface to shine through the color and bring every element together elegantly.

The end result is a complete transformation of the Daemos. Where once it was a herald of chaos and destruction, it now stands as a symbol of restraint and hope— a High Republic lightsaber worthy of any Jedi who remains steadfast on the path of light. And for that, it has been given the name "Serenayos".
