What’s the difference between Custom Sabers, Legendary Sabers and MASTERPIECE?
These are the three distinct lightsaber product lines by Sabertrio. Each features the same core selection of saber hilts but differs in the level of personalization, design details and lead time.
- Custom Sabers — Made-to-order lightsabers that you customize through our online Saber Configurator. The typical lead time is around 4 weeks before shipping.
- Legendary Sabers — High-concept and heavily precustomized lightsabers. Each design is crafted in very small quantities to ensure exclusivity, and ships within 10 working days.
- MASTERPIECE — One-of-a-kind, fully bespoke creations crafted in close collaboration with you. This process may include custom acid-etching, exclusive finishes, powder coating and personalised design elements. Lead time is up to 20 weeks from design confirmation.
Does Sabertrio offer replica lightsaber hilts of famous characters?
No, we do not. Every lightsaber hilt from Sabertrio is a 100% original creation, designed entirely in-house or in close collaboration with select partners. Instead of copying designs from the movies, television, or games, we instead draw inspiration from them all to create highly personalized lightsabers — one that you would wield if you were part of the galaxy far, far away.
How many Saber Configurations are there?
There are two Saber Configurations currently being offererd, and it determines the electronics setup inside your Sabertrio lightsaber.
- The main configuration is NEO, which features the most visually realistic lightsaber blade technology available. It is equipped with either the Crystal Focus X (CFX) or the ProffieBoard v3.9 (Proffie) soundboard, integrated into our swappable Power Core chassis with Bluetooth connectivity* and immersive audio output.
- The other configuration is FX, which relies on high-powered LEDs inside the hilt to illuminate the lightsaber blade. It is equipped with the ProffieBoard v2.2 soundboard, and is the more budget-friendly option while retaining all essential modern lightsaber features.

What's a Power Core Chassis System?
The Power Core Chassis System is our proprietary modular internal chassis that houses and protects all onboard electronics. It is made up of two parts: a Central Control Module (CCM), which is installed in a Sabertrio hilt, and the Power Core, which interfaces with the CCM to bring the lightsaber to life.
Every Power Core is CNC-machined from Delrin for durability and features a hot-swappable speaker system, USB-C charging and data transfer, Bluetooth connectivity*, and immersive audio output from a powerful 28 mm bass speaker. Its modular design allows the Power Core to be seamlessly transferred between Sabertrio hilts, eliminating the need to repurchase electronics.

CFX or Proffie, which Power Core should I choose?
Both Power Cores offer similar capabilities and have been preconfigured to function alike, with excellent performance, features, and an in-hilt menu system that allows users to tweak settings on the fly without the need for a computer. Choosing between them is much like choosing between iOS or Android — it’s a matter of personal preference.
- CFX Power Cores are equipped with the Plecter Labs Crystal Focus X soundboard. It is the most user-friendly and feature-rich, offering a wide range of software customization by editing parameter values in text files.
- Proffie Power Cores are built around the ProffieBoard v3.9 soundboard. It is powerful, open-source, and advanced, offering unrivalled software customization through direct programming.
With our Power Core Chassis System, there’s actually no need to choose. It’s the world’s first chassis system that enables seamless switching between soundboards on a lightsaber — simply by swapping one Power Core for another. No reconfiguration or setup required.
Does Sabertrio sell empty lightsaber hilts?
No, we do not offer any of our lightsaber hilts completely empty.
However, you can purchase any of our lightsaber hilts — including Legendary Sabers — with only the Central Control Module (CCM) installed. This allows you to use your existing Power Core and enjoy multiple Sabertrio hilts at a much lower cost.
Can I request custom work for my Sabertrio lightsaber?
Yes, you absolutely can!
At Sabertrio, we wholeheartedly believe that your lightsaber should truly reflect you. If the Custom Saber you’re building in our Saber Configurator doesn’t offer the exact option you want, simply let us know — we’ll do our very best to make your request a reality.
Alternatively, if you're looking for something completely one-of-a-kind, we recommend exploring MASTERPIECE by Sabertrio.
Why does the Shorto Core and FX Sabers not have Bluetooth connectivity?
Due to its smaller size, the Shorto Core does not have enough space to accommodate a Bluetooth module. Similarly, the irregular shape of the FX Saber’s Legacy chassis leaves no suitable location to properly house the module.
Do Sabertrio lightsabers come with a warranty?
Yes. Every Sabertrio lightsaber comes with a one-year limited warranty covering any manufacturing defects. In the unlikely event that you encounter an issue with your Sabertrio lightsaber, simply contact our customer service team and we will assist you promptly.
ORDERING FAQS
How are payments handled?
At Sabertrio, all transactions are processed in US Dollars (USD). We offer two secure payment options:
- PayPal – includes PayPal Buyer Protection.
- Credit/Debit Card – processed securely via Stripe, with standard cardholder protections.
How are shipping fees calculated?
Our website automatically calculates shipping fees based on the volumetric weight of the items in your cart and the delivery address you provide. The calculated shipping cost is included in your final order total at checkout.
Ordering multiple items together usually results in a lower overall shipping cost compared to placing separate orders for single items.
How soon will my order be ready?
Lead times vary depending on the items you purchase:
- Custom Sabers — Ships within 4 weeks from order confirmation for standard finishes. Powder-coated variants require additional lead time.
- Legendary Sabers — Ships within 10 working days.
- MASTERPIECE — Ships within 20 weeks from design confirmation.
- Accessories — Typically ship within 2 weeks.
If you order multiple items together, they will be shipped in one consolidated package, and the overall lead time will follow the item with the longest lead time.
A tracking number will be provided once your order has shipped.
Can I make changes to my order?
Yes – you can make changes at as long as your order has not been marked as “Fulfilled.”
Please note:
- Any change, even a small one, requires a new work order in our manufacturing system.
- This will reset your position in the build queue, which may extend your order’s lead time.
For this reason, we encourage you to double-check your selections before placing your order.
How can I check the current status update for my order?
Our system does not provide real-time tracking or updates while your order is in production. Once your order is ready to ship, it will be marked as “Fulfilled”, and you’ll receive a tracking number.
If you’d like an update at any time before that, simply contact our customer service team and we’ll be happy to check the status for you.
Do you accept order cancellations?
Yes. Orders marked as “Unfulfilled” can be canceled under the following terms:
- Lightsaber Orders – Subject to a USD 25 administrative fee, and PayPal/Stripe transaction fees are non-refundable.
- Accessories-Only Orders – No administrative fee, but PayPal/Stripe transaction fees are non-refundable.
SHIPPING FAQS
Who are your delivery partners and how long is shipping?
Sabertrio currently offers only Express Shipping. Our delivery partners, DHL Express and FedEx, are automatically selected based on your delivery location. Shipping typically takes 5–7 working days, not including any delays caused by local customs clearance.
Can you deliver to a post office box?
Our shipping partners unfortunately are NOT able to deliver shipments to a post office box. This includes APO, FPO, and DPO. Shipments can only be delivered directly to the receiver's shipping address and a signature of receipt is required.
How do I track the shipment of my order?
As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive an email notification along with a tracking number. You can then track the shipment end-to-end via the DHL Express or FedEx tracking website.
How are local import duties & taxes handled?
All import duties and taxes (if applicable) are the responsibility of the recipient. If the shipment is held by customs, DHL Express or FedEx will notify the recipient. Full payment of any duties or taxes imposed will be required before the shipment can be released.
Does my shipment have insurance?
All shipments are fully insured with the same value as shown in the order’s invoice.
