Recharging Guide - Power/Shorto Core
Notice
If this is your first time removing the chassis, detaching the blade first will make it easier.
Low Battery Indicators
An audio clip saying “Sound Energy Critical” will play during blade ignition.
The saber will emit periodic beeps.
Step 1
Unscrew the pommel, located at the bottom of the hilt.
Step 2
Angle the hilt down and gently shake it until the chassis slides out halfway.
Grasp the chassis and pull it out the rest of the way.
Turn the killswitch OFF.
Step 3
Connect the provided smart charger to an outlet with the appropriate adaptor. The LED indicator on the charger will turn GREEN if it is receiving power.
Step 4
Insert the smart charger’s USB-C jack into the USB-C port.
While charging, the LED indicator on the side of the chassis will be RED.
The battery will take approximately 2~3 hours to charge. The LED indicator will turn GREEN when it is finished.
Warning
Do not enclose the charging setup in any space without adequate airflow. This may cause the battery to overheat and/or rupture.
Notice
While other high-quality USB-C cables will likely work, we recommend only using the provided smart charger to avoid accidental damage.
Step 5
Disconnect the USB-C charging cable.
Turn the killswitch ON.
Carefully reinsert the chassis. Ensure that the metal contacts face inwards, the speaker faces outwards, and the chassis cut-in aligns with the notch under the Covertec wheel.
Reattach and tighten the pommel to secure the chassis inside the hilt.
Warning
To avoid accidental damage, do not apply pressure to the speaker.
Warning
Only tighten the pommel until it feels snug. Overtightening could compress and damage the USB-C module.
Notice - For Hilts with an OLED Screen
Neo Proffie Sabers
Insert the Power Core within 5 seconds of turning ON the killswitch or the soundboard will not detect the OLED screen.
Neo CFX Sabers
After turning ON the killswitch and inserting the Power Core, press the auxilary switch once before pressing the activation switch.

Connected the smart charger’s 2.1mm plug into the chassis's recharging port.
While charging, the LED indicator on the side of the chassis will be RED.
The battery will take approximately 5~7 hours to charge. The LED indicator will turn GREEN when it is finished.

Carefully reinsert the chassis. To ensure that the chassis cut-in is aligned with the notch under the Covertec wheel, rotate it clockwise until it stops, then push it in.
Reattach and tighten the pommel to secure the chassis inside the hilt.
Warning
To avoid accidental damage, do not apply pressure to the speaker.

If the pommel does not screw in completely, a wire might be pinched behind the chassis. Remove the chassis and rotate it counter-clockwise once to tighten the wire bundle behind the chassis. Repeat if necessary.

Notice

When the battery is low the blade will become gradually dimmer and will not illuminate at all once dead.
Step 1
Unscrew the pommel, located at the bottom of the hilt.
Step 2
Angle the hilt downward and gently shake until the chassis slides halfway out.
Grasp the chassis and pull it out the rest of the way. You will feel some resistance due to the tension created by the wires bundled behind the chassis.
Turn the killswitch is OFF.
Notice
